Sesame Place theme park is a fun filled day for all ages and activity levels. Located on Oxford Valley Road in the Philadelphia, Bucks County area, Sesame Place is opened May through October for a chance to meet and greet your favorite Sesame Street characters amidst action-packed rides, live shows and interactive activity attractions. Sesame Place has rides and attractions separated by age and height restrictions to get everybody safe. The thirty plus rides and attractions are categorized by wet rides, dry rides and playground areas with a Sesame street them. Be sure to back a bathing suit, flip flops and plenty of sun block for water adventures with inner tubes, rafting, water slides and the Teeny Tiny Tidal Wave for tots. In addition, be sure to pack some plastic bags to store your wet clothing and water sports accessories. Dining at Sesame Place is an adventure in itself with a bevy of restaurants hosted by bigger than life Sesame Street personalities. Early birds to the park can have breakfast with Elmo at the morning buffet for an assortment of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, french toast and fruit. For a little cabaret with your meal, try Dine With Me hosted by Big Bird and friends for a visit from Sesame Street's most beloved creature. Entertainment is lively, with music and dance to keep you clapping through your meal. Healthy fare with turkey, vegetables, Caesar salad and pastas are a favorite for the midday meal, and child plates are offered with a choice of hot dog, macaroni and cheese or tasty chicken fingers. Dine With Me fills up fast, so be sure to secure your seat with a reservation by phone or online. For signature pizza to sophisticated grilled chicken, Elmo's eatery serves the best in fast food with a flair, and for that home-cooked feeling, you may wish to try the indoor and fully enclosed Sesame Cafe for chicken Parmesan and choice cuts from the finest grade of beef. And if you prefer a little scenic action with your meal, try Captain Ernie's Bistro located on the shady banks of the Lazy River where you can watch and wave to the kids floating by. Your Sesame Place getaway is surrounded by quality hotels ranging from three star efficiency guest resorts to five star luxury accommodation. Choose from corporate chains or intimate family inns for lodging to meet most budgets and amenity choices. Early reservations are recommended, especially during peak summer season, so be sure to secure your spot well in advance. |
